Gränna Elderly Care Home is now looking for both hourly substitutes and summer substitutes for the summer of 2026!

Gränna Elderly Care Home is centrally located in beautiful Gränna, close to shops, pharmacies, a health center, the harbor promenade, and great walking trails. The facility consists of six units: one short-term unit, two dementia units, and three units for special housing, totaling 61 apartments. We have a beautiful inner courtyard with flower beds, green areas, and a greenhouse that is used extensively during the summer months.

Your Tasks

As an hourly or summer substitute with us, you will have a varied and social job. Regardless of where you work, it is about providing support and creating a meaningful daily life for the elderly. You start from the resident's needs and help them maintain their abilities.

Common tasks include:

• Assistance with personal care, such as dressing and undressing
• Assistance with personal hygiene, such as showering and toilet visits
• Service tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping
• Social activities, such as walks and coffee breaks

Who are you?

You are someone with a genuine interest in people and a positive attitude towards your work. Like us, you see the importance of good cooperation between colleagues and value teamwork. The job also involves working alone, which requires you to take your own initiatives, be attentive to others, and be responsible. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability for the job!

Furthermore, it is desirable that you have an ongoing or completed education in the nursing program or the childcare and leisure program, but it is not a requirement. Previous experience in healthcare and social services is also considered an asset.

You must be proficient in the Swedish language in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as you need to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, as well as write and read notes in your daily work.

If you do not live in Gränna or the surrounding area, it is an advantage if you have a B driver's license and access to a car, as bus connections are poorer in the evenings and on weekends.

Good to know

We are looking for both hourly substitutes who can work extra for us as needed and summer substitutes for our holiday period between week 25 and 34.

As a summer substitute, you can work full-time or part-time by agreement, during the day, evening, or night, both on weekdays and weekends. We prefer that you can work at least six consecutive weeks during the summer.

Keep in mind that you need to be able to get to and from the workplace yourself.

• Which weeks you can work this summer if you are interested in a summer substitute position

To work with us, you must submit an approved extract from the police criminal record register. Order this on the police website at the same time as you submit your application. Use the form "Control of own information". If you become a candidate for a position, the extract must be submitted in an unopened envelope.
